PESTALOZZI
SPORTS FLOOR

REUSED / ARCHIVED

Recovered oak sports flooring from a former sports hall in Weimar, Germany. The floor was dismantled before demolition, removed in sections, sorted by condition and markings, and prepared for reuse rather than disposal.

The material retains visible traces of its original use: court lines, wear, repairs and differences in tone developed over years of play. These marks are not treated as defects, but as part of the material’s history and identity.

After recovery, the flooring was redistributed for new uses. Parts of the material became atelier floors, while another portion was acquired by Fisch und Tisch and transformed into a large bar counter for Kalt.Weiss.Trocken in Krefeld.

The original stock has now been fully reused and is no longer available. This entry remains in the archive as a record of the material, its recovery and its subsequent reuse.
